We proudly introduce this remarkable coffee, cultivated in Manizales, a city renowned worldwide as the Coffee Capital, often referred to as the Pearl of the Ruiz, the City of Affection, the Illuminated Hill, the City of Open Doors, and Manizales of the Soul. Nestled at an altitude of 2,150 meters in the heart of western Colombia, within the Coffee Triangle, Manizales lies amidst the majestic Central Andes, with the Nevado del Ruiz volcano enriching the land with its nutrient-rich soils, creating the ideal environment for growing exceptional coffee.
Diego Alexander Salazar Soto, the Prison Officer of the La Blanca men’s prison in Manizales, also leads an inspiring project that empowers prisoners to cultivate and produce coffee as part of their social reintegration. This integrated farm, produces the finest Cenicafe 1 and Geisha varieties, alongside other crops and livestock.
Through this exceptional coffee with a sensory profile of bright mandarin and lemon acidity, sweet caramel and sugar cane, medium almond body, Tinto brings to life Alexander's dream: to establish a brand from within the prison walls, providing inmates with hands-on training in every aspect of coffee cultivation and production. This initiative not only equips them with valuable skills but also helps shape their futures by supporting their reintegration into society.
By offering a coffee of unparalleled quality, we are contributing to the transformation of lives, giving those seeking a second chance an opportunity to rebuild their futures with dignity and purpose.
